October 22. 2013 Meeting

American Longdraw
Tuesday, October 22. 2013, 7:30 p.m.
Wolbach Farm, 18 Wolbach Rd., Sudbury, Mass

Have you ever watched people spin in one long effortless draft? Then you know what American longdraw is. Learn about the difference between short draw and long, point of contact, and all the variations of American long draw. Bring your wheel and curiosity. $2.00 materials fee for members covers approximately half the costs. $4 fiber fee for non-members. Alternatively, bring your own even, well prepared roving or batts.

Those members wishing to participate in this year’s challenge, 50 Shades of Blue, should bring their fiber in a non-see-through bag to swap. Add two ounces of blue fiber of your choice to the two ounces of white Corriedale roving provided by BASD at the September meeting. If you did not get fiber in September, you can still participate, fiber will again be available this month! Bring your two ounces of blue fiber (again in a non-see-through bag) to which you will add 2 ounces of white.
