September Meeting
Spin-In, Show-and-Tell, and Hand Carding
Tuesday, September 20, 2011, 7:30 pm
Wolbach Farm, 18 Wolbach Rd., Sudbury, Mass.
Bring your enthusiasm, your wheel or spindle,
finished objects or yarns (new or old), works
in
progress, travelogues, and inspirations to our first meeting of the year. We’ll
introduce
ourselves and settle in for a
good visit and spin.
Also bring hand cards and some spare fiber for
carding if you have them. Since our
theme
this year is blending, we will have a review of hand carding at this first
meeting, so
that everyone can be
up-to-speed. Even if you don’t need the review, please bring your hand
cards
if you feel comfortable sharing them, so that others can try the process.
We will
have the BASD drum carder at the blending programs, for those who do not own
or do
not prefer hand cards. Everyone will be able to participate in these programs.
Alpaca fiber for the swap will be available for
sale, at cost, at the September as well as
the
October meetings.
