Spinning with Beads
We've all seen the books on knitting with beads and
crocheting with beads, now try spinning with beads! Beaded yarns add shine and
interest to your knitting, weaving, crocheting, etc. Jessica will lead us all
in experimenting with varied beads and more than one technique.
Please bring Your wheel and/or drop spindle
- A Lazy Kate
- At least one extra bobbin if you are using a wheel
- Beads you are interested in trying to spin with (seed beads are great, but bring anything you'd like to experiment with)
- Wool, silk, or other fiber that you would like to use as the base of a beaded yarn
- Thread in a similar color to your fiber
We will also provide some beads, sequins, and
thread to play with.
